AssuranceDesigned and manufactured to meet demanding national and international standards Lifeline Descent is a response to public concern that has seen the development of many innovative devices. Some of these devices have application in limited situations, others represent a new danger in themselves, none of which offer the many advantages of Lifeline Descent. During emergencies, time is critical to the success of any attempt made to evacuate or rescue trapped high rise occupants, ease of use and user safety are additional factors. To use Lifeline Descent one need only put on the included harness, clip the device to a mounting point and then begin making their descent to safety. At no time is external power required, no user input is required and a steady rate of descent of less than 2 metres per second is maintained. Lifeline Descent represents a cost effective solution to other more expensive solutions, it requires minimal fixing, if any, to existing structures and does not impose large increases in expenditure if incorporated into new developments
